Kelly Foxton, Artist
Kelly Foxton was raised in rural Ontario surrounded by farms and forests. It was there that she developed a deep sense of respect and admiration for the beauty and innate spirituality of the natural world as reflected in her art.
Kelly works in a wide variety of styles and media that range from highly detailed, realistic pencil portraits to whimsical coloured ink paintings, loosely executed landscape impressionism and colour studies in oil and pastel. In 2013 Kelly wrote and illustrated her first children's book titled "Mother Nature Knows..."
Kelly is a self-taught artist. Her work can be found in both private and corporate collections throughout Canada, Great Britain, the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Kelly Foxton currently resides in Bear River, Nova Scotia where she continues to write and create art as a tribute to the beauty and wonder of the natural world, our Mother Earth, and the many faces of Her children.
Nature Books for Kids , established in 2014 by Kelly Foxton, publishes and distributes a collection of exclusive, nature-based children's literature written by talented, up and coming Canadian authors.
